JTC Delivery WG - Online Training Contract Language
Information to request from training contractors when soliciting proposals for online training.
Training Delivery
- Describe the video conference software that you will use for the training. Include the platform (i.e., Zoom), the features of the platform, and which features you will use for the class
- Describe how you will run the video conference during the training. Will you use a “facilitator” to run the software while the other person is lecturing? How do you handle Q&A? Will there be online polls during the course? Will you stream video of the lecturer while you’re talking, or just slides?
- Describe the interactive components of the training. Will you use exercises, homework, quizzes? How will you deliver these materials online?
Communication
- Include a practice session for the online delivery. The contracting organization and partners will participate in a 1-hour demo of the online delivery platform at least one week before the live class, the earlier the better to work out any issues prior to the delivery of the class the following week. In the practice, include examples of how you will be delivering the lectures, exercises, and any other interactive materials you’ll use; think of this as a dress rehearsal.
- Describe how you will communicate the training details. Will you put together an email or flyer with the webinar schedule and connection information? Will this be packaged with the pre-test? Will you include IT requirements for the students in this email?
Testing and Evaluation
- Describe the pre- and post-test quizzes. What’s the schedule for sending these around, and how will you communicate to the class? How will you disseminate the results?
- Describe how you will summarizes the results of the evaluation in the training final report
Costs
- Will these be per student costs, or a flat fee?
- How many students will be allowed to participate?
- Will you record the webinar? And if so, how will access to the recording be managed? i.e., free, licensing fee, how long? Where will it be archived?
