Overview and Charge

Mission

To optimize how training opportunities are provided to state and local air agencies.

Objectives

The Training Delivery WG will develop approaches for evaluating, improving, and implementing training delivery to state and local air agencies. Training delivery will encompass instructors, course materials, and course formats. We will work with the Curriculum WG on how to identify and design course materials for different delivery formats. We will work with the LMS WG on how to design and implement online learning tools into the LMS. We will work with the Coordination Outreach WG on external and internal communications on course evaluations, instructor recruitment, and course delivery.

Charge

Track and communicate to the JTC the best ways to deliver training to state/local air agency staff. Maintain and develop an instructor list for the different courses and curriculum areas. Evaluate and develop best-practices use cases for the different training delivery options. Develop design documents that describe the online functionality needed to support the different online learning options that are best suited for the National Air Pollution Training Program.

Tasks

  1. Develop/maintain list of instructors by subject categories and course topics.
  2. Develop and implement a process for recruitment of new instructors.
  3. Develop and implement use of improved tools for evaluation of instructors and course materials.
  4. Oversee interactions with instructors to address needed improvements to instructional materials and to provide other course support.
  5. Develop and implement delivery format alternatives for all courses including classroom and e-learning/distance learning.
  6. Provide updates to instructors regarding course library additions and updates.
  7. Provide information to instructors on use of LMS functionalities and enhancements to aid them in fulfilling their instructor roles for downloading and uploading information to the LMS.
